Senior IMCA Advocacy Caseworker

22.5 – 37.5 hours per week – TBC, flexible hours considered.

£25,000 pro rata per annum

York Mind has been delivering an advocacy service in York since 1997, and has built on this success with delivery of York Advocacy Hub from April 2017. York Advocacy Hub offers a single point of access for five specialist advocacy services;

  • Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
  • Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)
  • Care Act Advocacy (CAA)
  • Generic Advocacy
  • NHS Complaints Advocacy

We are looking for a motivated and highly organised person to join our friendly team, to provide statutory IMCA services to clients in York and to supervise and support our IMCA team.

Excellent communication and time management skills are key requirements to make this job a success, as well as experience of delivering the IMCA role, managing people and a commitment to supporting the rights of vulnerable people.
