Why we need you!

At York Mind we believe that everyone should have access to mental health support regardless of who they are.

We are a local mental health charity, providing life-changing support for adults, children and young people across York and surrounding areas.

From counselling and coaching to drop-in groups and peer support, we help people find hope, confidence and connection when they need it most.

Every donation you make stays right here in York, helping someone in our community take a vital step towards better mental health.

With your support, we can make sure no one in the York area has to face their struggles alone.

1What is the difference between a charity place and an own place?

York Mind currently offer a limited number of charity spaces to participate in the Yorkshire Marathon. As part of your charity place, we ask that you aim to achieve a fundraising target of £200.

If you have purchased a space in the Yorkshire Marathon directly through Run for All, you can still use your space to raise money for us, but you choose your own fundraising target.

2How much do I need to raise?

The minimum fundraising target is £200. This must be raised by 11/10/2026. But don't worry, our team are here to help you from the moment you sign up to the very end!

3Can I volunteer at the event?

We would love you to! Please click here and sign up to be one of our fundraising volunteers!

4I have signed up, but I haven't heard anything back

Most of our team work part-time and as such you may not receive a response straight away, however we aim to get back to you within 3 working days. If you have not received a response please email nic.willis@yorkmind.org.uk

5How will the money I raise be spent?
