Move for York Mind - 60 Miles Challenge

Join the York Mind 60 Miles Challenge and help someone in York get the support they need.

This New Year, take on 60 miles in January or February and make a life-changing difference for local people struggling with their mental health.

Walk, run, swim - however you choose to move, every mile you complete and every pound you raise could help someone in our community feel more supported, more hopeful, and more connected to the help they need.

How it works

Choose February or March to take on the York Mind 60-Mile Challenge and make every step count for mental health! Whether you walk, run, or mix it up, the goal is to cover 60 miles throughout the month - your pace, your way.

By striving to meet those miles at whatever pace, you’ll do wonders for your own wellbeing too – physical activity can help relieve stress, build confidence and manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Challenge Perks

  • A free York Mind t-shirt. Once your fundraising has reached £35 we'll post out your free t-shirt. 
  • A chance to challenge yourself. Whether you're doing something totally different or making a small adjustment to something you do already you can give your mind and body a new combined focus, by challenging yourself for mental health
  • A way to champion mental health for everyone (especially you). By moving more you're prioritising your own mental health as well as raising funds. Moving regularly can lift your mood, ease stress, boost confidence, and give you a positive focus during the winter months.
