***Places Available- Peer Support Group for Substance misuse and Mental Health

York Mind are currently providing a peer support group for people with substance misuse and mental health needs. This group was originally established in October 2017, following feedback from clients, carers and professionals of a lack of peer support for this specific client group.

We are keen to increase attendance in the group and ensure the space continues for those in need.

The group is facilitated by York Mind counsellor Darrin Thomson and provides a safe, supportive environment for people to share feelings and concerns and develop coping strategies.

The group is open to those living in the City of York and currently accessing help from substance misuse/addiction services. Please see flyer below for further information and referral options.
