Young People's Coordinator

30 hours per week (incorporating two 9am-5pm shifts, and two 12noon-8pm shifts)
£21,600 per annum pro rata

York Mind is a successful mental health charity providing a wide range of services to help support people’s mental health recovery and wellbeing including counselling, an activities programme, training, services for young people and advocacy.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative project coordinator to deliver on our recently funded arts based project for young people. This role will include facilitating 3 arts/life skills groups a week. The age ranges we work with are 9-11, 11-13, 13-16 and 16-21.

What is required by the role:

As young persons’ coordinator, you will be part of the young persons’ team, delivering arts workshops that allow young people aged 9-21 to explore emotions and learn life skills. Art in this sense can mean drama, writing, visual art, photography or more! We are looking for an approachable individual with a good understanding of the needs of young people, with great ability to facilitate groups and work one-to-one with young people.

Interviews will take place on the Monday 9th March. For candidates who pass the interview stage, they will be invited to meet our young people's steering group for a slot between 5.30pm-7pm on Tuesday 10th March, as part of the selection process.
