Mental ill-health is a big problem. Here at York Mind, we want to let everyone know that It’s OK To Be Blue.

It’s OK to feel ‘not OK’.

It’s OK to talk about your feelings.

It’s OK to ask for help.


How do I join the campaign?

Throughout the whole month of March, we’re asking businesses, individuals, students and staff teams in York to help us turn York blue and raise funds for mental health.

Taking part couldn’t be easier:

1. Get social with us

Share your favourite blue pic online with us and make sure to use the hashtag #ItsOKToBeBlue

2. Donate whatever you can afford for better mental health

Donations, whatever the size, are gratefully appreciated so York Mind can continue to reach those who need us.

3. Host your own blue-themed fundraising event

Blue bake-off, blue dress down, blue quiz, dye your hair blue… the choice is yours! Whatever you choose to do, get together with friends to make it blue and raise a few pounds for better mental health.

Choose your date, venue and activity, then simply email and we’ll give you everything you need to run your own fantastic fundraising challenge.
