York Mind are excited to launch our first ever Mental Elf 5km event!

Take part in our family 5km fun run at the York Knavesmire this Christmas!

You can choose to walk or run our 5km route on Sunday 3rd December at York Knavesmire, all whilst wearing your best Elf attire! The event is open to all abilities and ages, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Discounts are available for family and group/corporate teams.

What's On?

We have some festive treats for everyone, so even if you're not taking part in the run, why not head down and check out our:

Festive Music and activities from YO1 Radio!	We'll be getting into the Christmas Spirit with Music and prize Giveaways from YO1 Radio!
Santas Grotto!	We weren't sure if he'd be available but we're pleased to say that Santa himself will be hiding away in his Grotto ready to hear about your Christmas wishes!
Raffle!	There will be a raffle with lots of great prizes, proceeds of which will go to helping support the mental health of those in and around York
Kids Activities!	There will be activities for kids inside a gazebo
Bake Sale!	We're dusting off our baking tins and getting in the festive spirit with some Christmas-themed bakes - the perfect way to re-fuel after a 5k run!
Refreshments!	There will be coffee and refreshments available before and after the run
Festive Games!	We have a number of festive games to take part in, including name the Elf

Event Details

Start time: 12pm on Sunday 3rd December 2023.

Please aim to get to the site from 11am to give time to collect your runners number and to take part in the warm up.

Location: York Knavesmire

Parking: There is no allocated parking for this event due to the unexpected weather at the time of year. We'd encourage you to use public transport or other modes of transportation to make your way to the event.

Toilets: There will be minimal access to toilets however facilities will be available a short walking distance from the start line.

Please be advised that the race will NOT be timed by us, but you are welcome to use your own smartphone or other device to record your time.
