Fundraising for York Mind

York Mind simply cannot operate without the support of the local community. Although we greatly benefit from our brand affiliation to National Mind, York Mind itself is an independently run local charity and financially autonomous from National Mind. Which means – we are responsible for raising all of our running costs.

Trusts & Foundations

The support of trusts and foundations is crucial to York Mind’s work, enabling us to continue providing vital support to people suffering from mental-ill health in York and the surrounding area.

We have a dedicated team who work closely with trusts and foundations, whether it’s finding an appropriate project that fits with your objectives and interests, providing a progress report or arranging a personal visit to see our services.

We are incredibly lucky to have received some great funding towards our projects over the years, and a very big thank you is extended to all those Trusts and Foundations that have supported our work. These include:

  • The Tudor Trust
  • The Henry Smith Charity
  • Scurrah Wainwright Charity
  • Souter Charitable Trust
  • The Purey Cust Trust Charity

If you know of any Trusts or Foundations that would like to get involved in supporting our vital work, then please do get in touch with our Service Manager (Fundraising) Rosanna Andrews on Rosanna.Andrews@yorkmind.org.uk or 01904 643 364.

How you can help

Make a donation

We rely on the generosity of individuals, groups and companies to continue our vital work. We could not do it without you.

We accept cash, cheques, standing orders or online donations via our JustGiving page.

(Please remember if you are planning to make a donation that we can often claim another 25% from HMRC in “Giftaid” based on tax paid by yourself. You can make a donation simply by clicking the “donate now” button at the top of the page.)

Involve your company

We at York Mind have proved ourselves trusted and innovative partners for a range of great companies in very different businesses.

We have the know-how to create a partnership that meets your aims – for your corporate responsibility agenda and for your wider business.

Mental ill health costs UK business £26bn each year. To talk about how your company can establish a fundraising partnership with York Mind, or if you would like more information on how we can help create a mentally healthy workplace please contact us on 01904 643 364.

Volunteer with the Fundraising Team

Quite frankly, we love volunteers. We need all hands on deck to keep the good ship York Mind afloat.   That’s where you come in! Volunteer for a couple of hours with us at a street collection, exciting event or awareness day and you’re guaranteed to go home with a big smile on your face.

Remember us with a gift in your Will

When it comes to your Will, it’s only right that your family and friends come first in your thoughts. But that doesn’t mean you can’t also leave a gift to a cause close to your heart if you would like. However large or small, every gift in every Will makes a difference. Legacies sound big but they need not be – £50 will make a difference. Further details can be found here. If you would like to speak to us about leaving a legacy gift to York Mind, please call on 01904 643 364 or email Rosanna at rosanna.andrews@yorkmind.org.uk.
