10 week Yoga Class at York Mind-September 2017

York Mind will be offering a free Hatha Yoga class starting from 26th September 2017.

Yoga is a great gentle exercise, which can support a person’s mental, emotional and physical well-being.

The 10 week class, accommodates all levels of experience and beginners are welcome. Over the ten weeks, our Yoga Tutor will introduce Hatha Asana, mindful movement and breathing techniques.

Yoga mats will be provided. If you have your own Yoga equipment, please feel free to bring it along.

Please wear comfortable clothing-e.g, T-Shirt, jogging bottoms/leggings and you can also bring a blanket, socks or a cushion to aid relaxation.

 

Here’s a note from our tutor:

‘Hi, I’m Becka and I’ve been practicing Yoga since 2007. I took my interest in Yoga further when I started the Foundation course with the British Wheel in 2012 and I went on to study their Level 4 Yoga Teaching Diploma, completing in 2016. The course is a well recognised 500 hour teacher training course that covers asana (postures), pranayama (energy practices) relaxation, anatomy & physiology, yoga philosophy and meditation. I hope in sharing some of my experience, you will enjoy the benefits that make it such a popular practice for so many people today’.
