York and District Mind are pleased to develop the Peer Mediation Project. The Mediation Manager will set up a service which teaches young peoples mediation, empowering them to support their peers to address conflict, emotions such as alienation, exclusion or insecurity arising from bullying and other negative situations. A pilot scheme, which initially will offer a training course (of three days' duration) which mirrors the people certification scheme for mediation services. Basic mediation stages and techniques, Negotiation and influencing skills and techniques, Active listening and feedback skills, Conflict resolution skills,How to deliver awareness training.

Like cycling? Why not join in with JustBike (a pdf file with more information can be found here) to help raise money for 50 charities including York and District Mind.
Just Bike is a 1 day UK based event starting and finishing at Coate Water Country park in Swindon, the event consists of a 30km, 50km and 100km route, why not come along and cycle through the scenic and glorious countryside of the Ridgeway and Wessex.
