York and District Mind

Caring and campaigning together for better mental health

  • Mental distress affects young and old, rich and poor
  • It shatters lives, causes family and relationship breakdowns and can happen to anyone
  • One in four people seeks help for mental health problems at some time in their lives

For over fifty five years York and District Mind has worked to alleviate mental distress. We do this now by offering information and support, counselling, befriending, support groups and advocacy to the residents of York and District.

Our website offers mental health information to anyone looking for help and advice.

For fast access to information on mental health, go to the help and support page.

Mind's ‘I’ gives personal views on mental health difficulties and concerns.

If you can't find what you're looking for on this site, the links page gives access to a wider range of mental health information.

If you want information on recent issues of concern, Mind press releases and news reports, visit the news page.
